Ruth Elliott is the principal of the practice, and an  experienced Chartered Accountant.


The practice is based near Northwich, in the heart of Cheshire. It offers business and tax services, to businesses, individuals and small companies.


We offer an accountancy approach right for you. We come alongside clients to provide support, help them manage businesses efficiently and enable them to grow.


UPDATE We are currently close to capacity and generally unable to take on any new clients at this time. We will consider taking on new clients if they are referred to us by existing clients. We will update this notice if the situation changes.

Our Purpose

The practice started in 2013 to provide a range of business and tax services to local clients in Northwich.


The business is focused on building strong client relationships, we think this is key to our success. Our services are tailored to the needs of each client and we always strive to plan for their future financial growth.

Our fees are structured to reflect the value we bring to the business. Our services are cost effective and support clients to meet their goals


Transparent


We will usually quote for the fees before starting any work, so you know what to expect. If we encounter any issues that may impact on our fee, we will raise this with you before proceeding further.


Fee Structure


We discuss with you your needs and tailor the services to match your requirements. Each client is unique and our service packages reflect that. fees depend on the complexity of the work required, the volume of transactions, etc.


Ongoing Support


We will provide services on a recurring basis for as long as you require our support. This may be annually for tax returns and accounts or monthly (For example book keeping support, and payroll)  depending on client requirements.



Our Onboarding Process

We take pride in building trusted relationships with our clients. Most of our clients come through referrals to ensure a strong foundation of mutual trust and alignment.


Our streamlined onboarding process is designed to understand your needs, provide clarity, and set the stage for a successful partnership. Below is an overview of how we welcome new clients:


Step 1: Referral and Initial Contact


  • Our practice usually operates at close to capacity, so we normally only accept new clients through referral. But occasionally we will take on new clients if they contact us directly. 

  • Once you have contacted us we’ll confirm if we have availability and then reach out to schedule a convenient time for an initial phone consultation.


Step 2: Phone Consultation


  • During the phone consultation, we’ll discuss your specific accounting needs, goals, and challenges.

  • We’ll provide an overview of our services and discuss likely fees based on your requirements.

  • This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and ensure we’re the right fit for your financial needs.


Step 3: Client Meeting


  • If you choose to proceed, we’ll arrange a meeting to verify your identification and comply with regulatory requirements.

  • This meeting is usually in person but we can arrange a virtual meeting if required.
  • This also gives you the opportunity to ask any additional questions about our services and to discuss your needs in greater detail.

  • There is usually no fee charged for the meeting unless you are requiring specific advice at this stage, for example on capital gains tax or what business structure to use. If a fee will be chargeable we will inform you and the fee is payable in advance. 


Step 4: Service Clarification and Engagement


  • We’ll clarify the scope of services tailored to your needs and provide a clear outline of what to expect.

  • We will send you a fee quote or provide an estimate. We normally confirm the actual fee once we see the paperwork or business records. 

  • If you currently have an accountant we will ask for their details and contact them to begin the handover process.
  • We will send you a formal engagement letter detailing the agreed-upon services. This forms the basis of your contract with us. 

  • Once you review and sign the engagement letter, we’ll begin delivering our accounting services.
